Bill R. Baumgardt President of Westminster Foundation Board
Professor Emeritus of Purdue University. Earned the BS, MS at Purdue and Ph.D. at Rutgers. Professor of Dairy Science at University Of Wisconsin-Madison; Professor and department head at Penn State University; and Associate Dean for Agricultural Research at Purdue. Named a Fellow of three scientific societies and President of the American Dairy Science Association. Served on Board of Science Advisors for Merck and Company for 9 years. Resident of Westminster Village since 2002.
Richard Bartholomew
Richard is a shareholder and the Director of Tax Services for the accounting firm of Girardot, Strauch and Co. P. C. located in Lafayette, Indiana. After graduating Cum Laude from IU School of Law-Indianapolis in 1981, Richard joined the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand in Indianapolis. Since then, he has worked in the private industry as well as public accounting firms. Richard is a frequent presenter for continuing legal education (for Lawyers) and continuing professional education (for CPAs) courses, including the 2004 and 2005, AICPA National Conference on Federal Taxes, the Indiana Bar Association, approximately 15 state CPA societies. He has also been a presenter for the 44th and 55th Annual Minnesota State Tax Conference, the Ohio State Tax Institute and Bisk educational tapes with over 2,000 video subscribers. Richard has also edited several courses for state CPA societies including Estate Planning, and Advance Partnership Taxation. Richard has also worked extensively on Internal Revenue Service examinations. One in particular lasted more than three years, went to the national office of the IRS two separate times, and involved tax, penalties, and interest in excess of $7 million.
Gordon D. Chavers
Retired in 2010 as Senior Director of Planned Giving and General Counsel for the Purdue University Development Office after serving the university in that capacity for 35 years. He has served on several national, state and community boards including the Westminster Village Foundation Board from 2001 to 2010.
G. Sue Eiler
Psychotherapist at Purdue University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center, located in the Purdue Student Health Center. Sue did her undergraduate work at Purdue and received her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on several community boards. Her mother is a resident of Westminster Village.
Frederick R. Ford
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s Degree in Industrial Administration and a Ph.D. in Management — all from Purdue University. Received an Honorary Doctorate from Purdue in 1998. Began work in the Purdue Business Office in 1959, held several different positions and retired in 1998 as Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University. Also served as a Trustee of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association and as Director of First Federal Bank of Lafayette and Circle Income Shares.
William J. McCaw Treasurer of Westminster Foundation Board
Life long resident of Lafayette, Graduate of Purdue University. President of Tioga Distributing Company. Board member and treasurer of Pleasantview Christian School and New Community School. Director of the McAllister Foundation. Father was Westminster Foundation Board Member in 1982. His mother is a resident of Westminster Village.
Donald L. Nead
Donald received a BA from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, an MD and MA from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, and a Doctor of Ministry from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. He served 20 years as a campus pastor with University Church at Purdue and has been involved with fundraisers for 14 years with the Bach Chorale Singers of Lafayette. He is currently the coordinator of the Community Garden Project of the Master Gardeners of Tippecanoe County. He is also currently the chair of the Landscape and Grounds Committee of the Resident Council of Westminster Village. Don is a resident of Westminster Village since 2005.
Martha K. Schrader Vice-President of Westminster Foundation Board
She is a resident of Westminster Village since 2006, received a B.S. in Home Economics from SUNY at Buffalo in 1950. She came to West Lafayette in 1966 with her husband, Lee, a Professor of Agricultural Economics. Active in the community she was a member of the West Lafayette Community School Board 1979 – 1992 and the initial Executive Director of the Public Schools Foundation of Tippecanoe County serving three school corporations, Lafayette, Tippecanoe and West Lafayette from July 1986 to June 1996. Later she initiated a meeting of public school foundations in Indiana which led to the formation of Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations.
Henry A. Wadsworth Secretary of Westminster Foundation Board

Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, all degrees awarded by Cornell University. Began career as faculty member in Agricultural Economics at Purdue in 1962. Associate Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension 1973-76, Associate Dean and Director Oregon State University Extension Service 1976-83, Associate Dean and Director of Purdue University Extension Service 1983-99. Has served as Treasurer of Museums at Prophetstown, Board member and Board Chair at Food Finders Food Bank, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Federated Church. Has been a resident of Westminster Village since 2006.
